29 Dec 2012
Location: Western Port Bay
Through LOW tide
Fished from Early morning to Early afternoon
Mark Astley reports -:
Went out looking for the whiting and found many others doing the same. The bank along French island was full of boats and looked like all were getting into the whiting. As the tide slowed, we went out towards Cowes and managed to land a few nice sized pinkies. Lots of fish around at the moment.

13 Nov 2011
Location: Hastings
Down from HIGH tide
Fished from Early morning to Early afternoon
Oakdale Anglers reports -:
This trip had been re-scheduled from a few weeks prior because of bad weather, so it was pleasing for members to have good conditions this day. It was a bit windy at the 7am start but it soon settled down. Fishing was good for most members with Ken Mottau landing a nice snapper of 4.9kgs to have the heaviest fish for the day. Pilchard & squid were the best baits.

Location: Bemm River

Fished from Not listed to Not listed
Oakdale Anglers reports -:
This was cup week-end so members fished Saturday, Sunday & Monday. The weather was not the best, with showers and strong wind at times. Most fishing was done in the river and the entrance being open made getting in over a sand bar a bit tricky. Mike & Mal lure fished from their kayaks in the river hooking numerous fish, but plenty of snags meant plenty of lost lures! The heaviest fish over the week-end were Sat: 1.3kg Estuary Perch - Mal Hunter using lures. Sun: 865gm Bream - Celia Tabone using prawns. Mon: 850gm Bream - Celia again with prawn. Henry Tabone had a some nice fish in his bag for the three days of 7kgs.

Location: Lake Purrumbete
, times not specified
Fished from Not listed to Not listed
Oakdale Anglers reports -:
This was a week-end trip but with wind and rain Sunday no fishing was done that day. Saturday started fine but strong winds after lunch made conditions quite choppy. 2 members managed to fish from their kayaks in the shallows and found some fish. Most members stayed on Purrumbete with those that headed to Lake Bullen Merri after lunch only managing to get a few small ones. Martin used his kayak and had the heaviest fish, a Rainbow Trout of 1.2kgs caught on soft plastic.

24 Sep 2011
Location: Goulburn River
, times not specified
Fished from Late morning to Late afternoon
Oakdale Anglers reports -:
We fished this trip around Thornton. Light cloud, slight breeze, warm sunshine, what a great day to be fishing on the river! Except those sort of conditions bring out the snakes. A couple of members used lures but all fish landed took maggots. Eddy Tusia had 4 Rainbow Trout, and had the heaviest fish of 1.1kgs.

11 Sep 2011
Location: Patterson River
Over HIGH tide
Fished from Mid morning to Late afternoon
Oakdale Angling Club reports -:
Members fished the Patterson estuary from the road bridge to the mouth. The weather was good, just a shower or two early but the wind was strong and cold. There was not much happening with most members finding it hard to lose a bait. Mike Doody and Brent Dalziel managed to land fish 820gms and 805gms respectively. These were caught on bass yabbies.

11 Sep 2011
Location: Patterson River
, times not specified
Fished from Mid morning to Late afternoon
Oakdale Anglers reports -:
With occasional showers & a strong South Westerly blowing, conditions were not very pleasant. As a result of rain falling in the catchment in the preceding days the water was discoloured but quite fishable. Lure fishing was not really an option but was tried by a couple of members, but it was one of the bait anglers that won the day. Mike Doody had the heaviest fish, an 820gm Bream.

28 Aug 2011

12 Mar 2011
Location: Port Phillip Bay
Down from HIGH tide
Fished from Mid morning to Early afternoon
Mark Astley reports -:
Finally managed to get out for a fish. Went out of Patterson River, and headed out to about 15m of water for a few hours. Landed plenty of undersized snapper.

Its going to be fun in a few years. Only managed to land 2 size fish. Heard a few cheers and yells around us, so some bigger fish must have been around.
