Oakdale Anglers reports -:
This was cup week-end so members fished Saturday, Sunday & Monday. The weather was not the best, with showers and strong wind at times. Most fishing was done in the river and the entrance being open made getting in over a sand bar a bit tricky. Mike & Mal lure fished from their kayaks in the river hooking numerous fish, but plenty of snags meant plenty of lost lures! The heaviest fish over the week-end were Sat: 1.3kg Estuary Perch - Mal Hunter using lures. Sun: 865gm Bream - Celia Tabone using prawns. Mon: 850gm Bream - Celia again with prawn. Henry Tabone had a some nice fish in his bag for the three days of 7kgs.

Oakdale Anglers reports -:
This was a week-end trip but with wind and rain Sunday no fishing was done that day. Saturday started fine but strong winds after lunch made conditions quite choppy. 2 members managed to fish from their kayaks in the shallows and found some fish. Most members stayed on Purrumbete with those that headed to Lake Bullen Merri after lunch only managing to get a few small ones. Martin used his kayak and had the heaviest fish, a Rainbow Trout of 1.2kgs caught on soft plastic.
